TASK 1.01 Project Journal

Develop and maintain a project journal for this phase of your project with date, summary of activities undertaken, actions completed and actions planned. (10 Marks)

TASK 1.07 Conduct stakeholder analysis and identify all persons, groups and institutions who may have an interest in the project and the nature of their interest (10 Marks)

TASK 1.08 Develop a work breakdown structure (WBS) (10 Marks)

Analyse the project and produce a 1-page Work Breakdown Structure

Task 1.09 Draft an interview agenda for your interview with the CEO, refer to the text and on-line for examples (10 Marks)

TASK 1.10 Provide an 'AS IS' process using Business Process Modelling Notation (BPMN) or UML (Unified Modelling Language) (10 Marks)

Assignment 2 (final)

Using the same case study in Assignment 1 and building upon the work you have already completed you need to undertake the following tasks:

TASK 2.01 Maintain a journal (a project log or diary) for this next Assignment, you should use a table showing details of project activities including date, summary of activities undertaken, actions completed, actions planned and any notes. (10 Marks)

TASK 2.02 Write a list of the key functionalities of the system (a functional and non-functional specification) (10 Marks)

TASK 2.03 Build a product backlog for the system by decomposing the features into stories (using Agile format 'As a …. I want to …. so that..') The Product backlog should be in a spreadsheet format (10 Marks)

Task 2.04 Compare your As is and To be diagrams to prepare a briefing note for the Organisational change and Training Team regarding the anticipated business impact of the system. You should make recommendations on how these business impacts can be managed (20 Marks)

TASK 2.05 From a business perspective categorise the backlog using the MOSCOW requirement prioritization method (or other similar method – in which case you must name the method and give a reference) and identify the stories that makes your minimum viable product (10 Marks)

TASK 2.06 Develop screen designs for two MUST stories created in Task 1.10 and identify any business rules; justify your design (10 Marks)

TASK 2.07 Write all acceptance criteria for these two stories to be done (10 Marks)

TASK 2.08   Write a Job Description for a Business Analyst (10 Marks)

TASK 2.09 Presume you have completed a 'waterfall method' processes of RFT, evaluation of tenders and selection of a solution. Write the executive summary of the Report to client where you explain the processes undertaken and recommend a preferred supplier (10 Marks)

The Databases should be very robust, highly available so there is no downtime since this application might have to deal with geriatric patients with life threating conditions. 

• Ensure easy accessibility to all stakeholders involved,
  • Local language support, this is highly essential to support systems in oriental and Asian countries. This is a more vital part because we are dealing with the geriatric population who may not be very well exposed to or versed in English, which is the lingua franca of the most of the web. 
  • Support across various platforms, both mobile and web. This is a ubiquitous need in today's world because mobiles are everywhere. This is an added benefit with geriatric patients who need not log into a computer to do anything, they can simply book an appointment or ask for help from the care provider with few small clicks on their mobiles, or if they are facing any untoward situation in the public, the people in the public can help them out in this regard.
  • A Database of close relatives and regular contact with them with respect to updates with the system etc.  This enables us to build trust in the products amongst the stakeholders who are potentially funding the geriatric care of the patients, and the community at large who is involved in this thing. 

Non Functional Requirements: 

• High availability and reliability of the system. Preferably adhering to six sigma system.
• Develop technological solutions so as to reduce cost 
• Improve the care services offered.
• The idea is to develop a virtual community to support the elderly and to reduce their isolation.  
• The objective is to use the potential offered by information technology by resorting to various virtual organizations so as to improve the quality of life and care not only for the elderly people but also for their families. 
• A virtual community would be able to provide them with a sense of security needed so as to reduce their loneliness.
• This virtual community could have physical meet-ups whenever viable at a suitable location. 

Thus, the functional and the non-functional specifications of the system are inter-linked and go hand in hand. This would make sure that the overall development of the system is achieved.
